)Wow! Cool!! But... what does that mean?
The NIGHTCORNER Mixchange is a bi-annual secret gift-exchange event, focused on making a playlists for another participant, based on their prompts! As always, the fall mixchange is based on general themes and prompts, so anyone can join! The more the merrier! Tell your friends!

Guidelines and Info
The event is split into three main phases: the sign-up phase, the working phase, and the posting phase.
==> Signup Phase (24 Nov - 30 Nov)
That's where we are now! After reading through the guidelines carefully, you can sign up for the event following the link at the bottom of this form. Keep in mind:
- This event is hosted through the NIGHTFORUM, so you will need an account in order to join!
- When signing up through the form, think of 2 - 4 playlist themes for your gifter to choose from! These can be as broad or specific as you like - just make sure to stay SFW and not go against the NIGHTFORUM terms of service.
- OPTIONAL: The event itself is fully run through and hosted on the forum, but feel free to join our [ Discord Server (https://discord.gg/Cx8gDKv) ], to get ping notifications for updates or just chat in general!
Working Phase (1 Dec - 22 Dec)
Once the sign-up phase concludes, the mods will match everyone up with another participant to make a playlist for, and send out the prompts and wishlist. Make sure to check your forum PMs to receive your giftee's information!
As soon as you've received your match, you can start work on the playlist! Just keep in mind:
- First and foremost: Keep your gift and identity a secret until the posting period!Â
- Pick (at least) one of their suggested themes to make a playlist around!Â
- If your match shared some of their favourite music, feel free to use those as inspiration! You do not have to stick to the mentioned genres or artist.
- Take care to avoid any songs/artists or themes that your match has asked you not to include, or would go against NIGHTFORUM terms of service.
- Your playlist should be 8 - 40 tracks long and hosted on YouTube so anyone can access theirs, regardless of what services they have.
- You can make Spotify/8tracks/etc versions as well, as an addition on top of the YouTube one.
- OPTIONAL: Make a cover for your playlist! This can be a photo, an image edit, an artpiece you made yourself, or anything else you can think of. Please do not use assets or drawings made by other people that you do not have permission to use.
The final week of the working period (15 Dec - 22 Dec) is the time to add the finishing touches to your gift!
- Have a moderator (or person not in the event) from another region proof listen to your mix to check for broken or region locked videos!
- Make sure your YouTube playlist is set to public or hidden, not private.
- If, by this point, you haven't finished your gift yet, take a moment to consider if you will be able to in time. If not, please message a moderator ASAP so we can discuss an extension or finding a replacement gifter (more info below)!
Posting Phase (Dec 23 - Dec 29)
As soon as the posting period starts, you will have one week to reveal your secret identity and share your gift by making a new post in this thread!This post should include:
- A typed out track list of the full mix
- Content warnings for overall themes or specific songs, where applicable!
- OPTIONAL: The playlist cover, including credits for any assets you have used (such as free-to-use stock images, or special fonts).
- And of course: a link to your YouTube playlist (+ other versions, if you got them)!
Don't forget to tag your match so they will see it! Once you have published your post, feel free to share it in the Discord's mixchange channel as well, if you are in it!

In case you run into any issues please let us know ASAP; the quicker we know of a problem, the quicker we can help you!Â
If worse comes to worse and you aren't sure if you'll be able to finish your mix in time, please let us know BEFORE the start of the posting period. We'll be able to help, and arrange an extension or back-up gifter, if necessary.
If something unexpected comes up and you need a little bit of extra time, you can ask for a 3-4 day extension to your posting deadline. If that is not enough, please let us know so we can arrange a back-up gifter in your stead.
Halfway through the posting period we will also reach out to everyone who has not posted their gift yet to check on your status and offer help if necessary! Please keep an eye out for this message - if we don't hear back from you within 2 days, we will take this to me you have dropped out of the exchange and arrange a back-up gifter.
TLDR: If you have any problems, please message the mod that sent you the wishlist, and we will do our best to help you out and answer questions!
