Hiiiii folks!!! Posting from my phone so format will be weird.
I wanted to ask everyone about their days here!!! What's a favorite memory of yours that doesnt involve anything life changing or exciting happening.
Something as simple as, 'one time I was outside and i drank apple juice while the sun was on me!' I like hearing about it!!
I'll go first: I really like to people watch, most of the time just passively. A lot of stuff is obviously just mundane, but one time my best friend and I were at a fair, and on one of the rides, we noticed a cowboy hat on the ground underneath the carts. We point it out and keep spinning ( it was a weird suspended tiltawhirl thingy )
Then, we hear this BOOMING southern voice go "CAROL!!! I LOST M'HAT!"
cue us losing it. This was 2018. Carol and your hat man, i hope you're out there.
Lemme know your guys' :3

Ok well I don’t know if people have had this same or similar experience but when I was a small child there were a bunch of times where I’d be doing something random and mundane and suddenly think to myself “I’m going to remember this exact moment for no reason. I’m gonna burn it into my brain” and then I do. Some I’ve forgotten but the one that sticks out the most clearly to me was the time I was in my friends backyard pool, she had invited me and a bunch of other kids to hang out and they got tired of the pool eventually and started playing in the other parts of her backyard but I stayed behind alone bc I liked the pool. Anyways I distinctly remember floating on the water while lying on my back and staring up at the sky, it was slightly windy and I was under a tree so I could see the parts of the sky peeking out from the foliage and it was just really calming. So then kid me decided to remember that one moment specifically bc it was nice. Still think it’s nice

Still think it’s nice wtf that used to happen to me all the time too?? i think i only remember two of those "i'll remember this random moment forever" instances though, once when i was a teen and driving around the corner to my house, and another just sitting on my parents' couch. nothing remarkable at all. yours sounds SO lovely and peaceful though, i felt a sense of calm wash over me reading it
kind of similar to len's: one of the first moments i can think of for the question in the OP is when i first moved in with my gf (now fiancee!) in the summer of 2019.. we were both commuting home from work together and walking home from the bus stop, and the sun was juuust starting to set, and the crepe myrtle trees in the front yard of our apartment were blooming, and the temperature was perfect and i was just like, man, i'm just so happy to be here
