No more Image Hosting on Discord - Update Links

Hello everyone!

As you may have heard, Discord recently changed the way images are hosted on their servers - the gist of it is that image links will expire quickly now, and all old links are now no longer functioning and will not show an image. There's many reasons for this, but ultimately the most important thing this means for users is anything that was hosted and stored on Discord before, is now inaccessible (at least when linked to by external sites).

This... unfortunately... includes almost every image posted on the forum Art, photos, event images (such as mixchange covers), user avatars... the list goes on. On the moderation side, we will be working on fixing official and UI images over the next week, but we can't do anything about user-uploaded images.

So, all that is to say! If you've posted any kind of discord-hosted image on our forum, you will have to replace the links yourself. To be able to link to images consistently, you will need to first host them on a dedicated service. Discord was never meant as an image hosting service - but those do exist! Imgur (https://imgur.com/) is probably the most well-known one, although I've never personally used it myself. 

I've also heard good things about File Garden (https://filegarden.com/), which is free and easy to use! I'm sure there's others - if you know any good ones, please feel free to share them below! :D

Ultimately, it's up to you whether you want to update your old images - but, I ask that where it comes to our exchange events and art created for others, you do re-upload the images so your match will still be able to see and access it! It would be a shame for all this good art to not be shared anymore
