hel-lo hel-lo hel-lo! i'm super excited to share the playlist that i made for NONE OTHER than astraldreams !!!
i decided to take a more narrative-based approach for my prompt :+) i hope you like it!!! ^_^ also sorry for the weird double spoiler i cant figure out what's making it do that. so you have to click two buttons for the tracklist. oops
my original plan was to give my live-reactions to the songs as i was listening, but it turned out... REALLY long and also somewhat repetitive so here's the summarized version eheh. i did still leave the live reactions under the spoiler tab though, if you want to read them too ^__^
GRRAAAAAAAAA THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! THIS PLAYLIST ROCKS IT'S SOOOO GOOD YOU FILLED THE PROMPT SO AMAZINGLY EVEN BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED!!! looots of songs in here i've never heard before and they're all going in my likeds right neow.
you absolutely NAILED the narrative progression of the mix as well, i could really really see everything moving along. made me feel like i was right there (luckily i wasn't!). and just in general, this is a whole banger. i love how the songs build off of and flow into each other - i'm gonna be listening to this one a lot. thank you sooooo much !!!!

robot rock - would you believe me if i said i actually barely ever have listened to daft punk... even though they are right up my alley. this song makes me want to rectify this. really really epic.
i love how all the songs in the opening segment are instrumental (BASICALLY...) except for the minimal repeating lines in robot rock. it sets the mood really well and is getting me hyped. i can picture the space station in my minds eye, really really good.
SOMEHOW at this point i got kicked out of the playlist so playback just stopped after robot rock?? i dont know what happened, youtube just said "youre listening to the non-playlist version of this song now. fuck you." anyway, i thought that was kinda funny. guess that space station Did just fall in.
techno syndrome - i have NEVER played a mortal combat game, but this song is one i've heard sections of. the full section ROCKS this is so fun. i love the high energy of this. i'm getting pumped to Kick and Punch. if i were a robot in a doomed orbit and this started playing i simply would stop worrying
also i want to note here that i have NOT looked at the track list, so every song is a surprise to me. which is VERY fun.
funky beat - i've never heard of this game(?) before, but just based on this song it feels like a rhythm/fighting game? which so far is the energy i've gotten from this entire playlist tbh :] which is to say, the vibes are Immaculate and incredibly consistent. this is such a blast and good-time listen. i'm really feeling the work tunes vibe of this!!!
tires on fire - i am repeating myself here so i might actually condense my reaction to group multiple songs together LMAO. VERY HYPE VERY COOL!!!! so far i have known none of the songs which is GREAT cause it gives me so much new stuff to listen too. i love how all of these songs have a very similiar energy and beat to them, but still all stand out as their own contribution to the playlist! i always worry about putting too many similiar songs in a list and make it repetitive, but this is like the opposite of that!! it all builds on top of each other really really well and i love it.
robo rock - ABSOLUTE BANGER!!! i love this dude's voice, from the comments i'm gathering it's a rarer vocaloid/voice bank? really cool!! i'll have to try and find more songs with him >:]
digital girl - MIKU MY FRIEND MIKU!!!!!!! this song sounds familiar, but i don't THINK i've ever heard it before? either way, real banger. i love a good song about a robot having enough LOL. re: song sounding familiar, it was bugging me so i checked and it's in a playlist i have with my housemate all about "computer", so i must've heard it there before! this is my first time consciously hearing it and paying attention to the lyrics though and i love it! also a really good choice for the playlist as a whole - i imagine the little maintanance robot is pretty tired of the Everything by this point hehe.
lagtrain - REALLY FUN SONG!! i love the math themes in the video and just the sounds in general. there haven't been many lyrical songs in this playlist so far, but these are really knocking it out of the park. i'm gathering it's a cover, but i don't know the original either. the voicebank works really really well for it though!! aeiou aeiou aeiou.

doing it right - i know this song!!!! i think so, at least. the melody sounds familiar. this is my first time consciously hearing it though either way. i really should listen to more daft punk... thanks for exposing me to more of their work >:3 i really like how this song morphes to become more "organic" at the end too :00 i wasn't expecting that, but it works super well!!
! - i didn't really live react to this one cause i was reading the lyrics hehe. really really good song though i like how it sounds really upbeat but is a bit fucked up
moon waltz - YES. YES I KNOW THIS ONE I LOOOOOVE THIS SONG. it's such a good pick for this playlist toooooo makes me feel giddy. it really captures the inevitibility of the premise... once again, i can really picture the image in my mind. this WHOLE playlist has been really really evocative in this way, but with this song especially i can feel the shift from 'chapter' to 'chapter' too !!
everybody panic - i really like jukebox the ghost, but i think i've only ever listened to maybe two or three of their songs? (there is a theme here...) i didn't know this one yet!! it's reaaally nice... i will definitely listen to this one a lot just on its own too >:3 (to be fair that's all songs so far too LOL i'm really eating well on new songs here...)
hit the floor - ohhh this rules. i love the beat it's so good. i've been meaning to play katana zero for a long time now and never got around to it!! but this song again really makes me want to hehe. really nailing those "last moments" vibes also... i love this one.
stress - i don't think i've ever listened to a song where the title is so accurate to how it sounds before. i am listening to this chilling in my chair and i feel like my heartrate just shot up to five billion. really really good song ESPECIALLY for this playlist - shit's fucked, and you know it!!! towards the end i feel like i'm getting accustomed to the situation... shit's still fucked, but you've reached a stage of acceptance where yeah you're freaking out but at the same time, not much to be done... i wouldn't say it really mellowed out, but that's the closest i can describe to how i'm feeling? either way really good song and really good !!! can't wait to shuffle this into random playlists and get absolutely jumpscared every time.

sunlight - ooohhhh hozier... i love this song! and it's such a good choice to close out the playlist on omg... (there's still one more, but this is a closer too already i feel). i really really love how... hopeful? this song is about the situation... and the icarus references are *chefs kiss*. this song serves REALLY well to capture the slow inevitability of the situation while also furthering that acceptance i felt before... VERY good choice
healthy end - ooghghghhgh ohhhhh a really good closing song... not much in terms of livereact because i was reading the lyrics hehe but i really liked this... taking the whole playlist and wrapping it up with a bow !!
