happy autumn months,NIGHTCORNlings!! you've all been waiting for this, and now it's finally time for!
๐ต the fall mixchange ๐ต
if this is your first time here (or as a general refresher): the fall mixchange is a secret gift exchange centered on making playlists for each other based on their wishlists! as always, the fall mixchange will be focused on general themes and prompts instead of OCs, so anyone can join! (so tell your friends!  ) schedule: sign-up period: oct 16 - oct 21 matches sent out: oct 22 working period: oct 22 - nov 17 posting period: nov 18 - nov 25 how does this work?
๐ต after carefully reading the rules and information, you can sign up for the event using the link to the sign-up form found at the of this post. ๐ต in this form you will share a few playlists prompts you'd like to receive, such as "haunted house tunes", "lo-fi beats to study to", or "an autumn walk". you can also share some of your favourite genres and artists, which can serve as inspiration for your match! ๐ต once sign-ups are completed, the moderators will create everyone's wishlists and match up the participants. ๐ต as soon as you receive your match's wishlist, you can start work on your playlist. this is a secret gift exchange, so make sure to keep your identity and gift a secret until post! if you have any questions to your match, please privately message a mod - they will relay the information for you. ๐ต you have until november 17th to work on your gift. choose one of your match's prompts and build a playlist for it. they may include favourite genres or artists as well, but don't worry about having to follow those! they are there purely for inspiration and are not requirements. ๐ต november 18th is the beginning of the posting period. starting then, you may reveal your identity and share your gift on the forum by making a post in this thread. likewise, you will receive a gift from another participant yourself! ๐ต if you have any questions or concerns at any point during the event, feel free to message me either through the forum or discord so i can help you!
playlist guidelines:๐ต your playlist should be a minimum of 8 tracks and a maximum of 40 tracks long. ๐ต your playlist should be on youtube. you may include a link to other sites like spotify as long as you also have a youtube version. make sure your playlist is set to public or hidden, but not private. ~~๐ต it's a good idea to ask a mod or friend in another region to yourself to check your videos to make sure they are not region-locked. ๐ต don't include anything your match has asked you not to include, and don't include anything that would be against NIGHTCORNER rules. if you are unsure if something would be allowed, feel free to ask the mod who sent you your match for clarification. ๐ต it is encouraged to make a cover image for your playlist, but not required. if you do make one, be sure to have permission for any used images/assets/etc and give proper credit where necessary! you can look at previous mix change events for example of cover images ๐ต once the posting period begins, you can post your gift playlist to this thread! your post should at least include a link to the youtube playlist, a typed out tracklist, and a tag to your match (so they see it)! if necessary, also include content warnings for your playlist. if you and your match are both in the discord server, you can also tag them in the 2023-fall-mixchange channel once you have posted your gift! if all of that's understood, you can sign up for the fall mixchange at this link! we look forward to having you!  if you have any further questions now or during the game, feel free to ask in this thread, the discord channel, or directly message me or the mod who sent you your match! thank you for joining, and have fun!~

the posting period has begun, so now you may start posting your finished playlists! simply post them right here in this thread, and make sure to tag your match in it to make sure they see it! if you're also on discord, you can then link your post in the mixchange channel and tag them there as well :]
please remember to include: - a typed-out tracklist of all songs! if you want to keep the songs a surprise while listening, you can put the list in a spoiler box.
- a link to the public (or hidden) youtube playlist. you may include a spotify or other platform playlist as well, but make sure the YT version is there.
- content warnings, where applicable (flashing videos, jumpscare noises, nsfw lyrics, etc).
- OPTIONAL: a cover image for your playlist. make sure to credit all assets used if applicable.
- if you cross-posted your playlist on another platform (tumblr, twitter, etc), you may link to it here as well so people can share it!
if your playlist isn't quite ready, or you don't have the time to post today, don't worry! the posting period runs for a whole week, so you have up until and including november 25th to post your gift here.
