EDIT: Artfight is officially over! Congratulations to Team Bloom, who won by a whopping 101,953 points! Good luck next year for those in Team Wither! And a shoutout to Nachtkern who's incredible dress up attack made it to the featured attacks in Artfight's official news post! You can read it here. It details the results and statistics of this years events and showcases many other incredible attacks based on different categories.
Roles will soon be deleted on the discord and the #2022-artfight event channel will be archived, so you can still view everyone's attacks easily. Feel free to post any artfight attacks you may have made this year in the showcase boards here as well!

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is holding up well this hot summer. But, hey, summer also means it's almost artfight season! What's Artfight?Artfight is a yearly art trade game that takes place in July! All participants are split up into two teams, and you can collect points for your team by creating art for someone of the opposite team! (And a lower amount of points by creating art for someone of the same team). Ultimately it's not about winning or points, though- it's just about having fun together, drawing other's characters, and getting your own characters drawn in return :D For more detailed information about the event, check out their own website! You can also sign up there as well! What about the teams? This year's teams are called Bloom and Wither! Team Bloom's symbol is a plant sprout and members' names will be green; Team Wither has a mushroom and will be pink! Check out the official badges for each team!   Once the game officially begins, everyone will be assigned a random team- but if you'd like to be in a specific one, you can choose it in advance! It will be a few more days until reserves open, but once it does, you can find it here! Keep an eye out on their website to see when it starts- we'll also give a headsup in the discord server^^ Speaking of Discord...Just like last year, we'll be having a channel for all things artfight! It's been reactivated now and you can find it in the server^^ In this channel you can show artworks you've made or received, share cool characters you've found, and just generally talk about the game! We also have color roles for the different teams :3 You can pick em up yourself in #roles! Finally, if you'll be joining this year, share your account names here and/or the server channel, so we can all follow you!!! Have fun, and happy arting^^

HOORAY!!!!!!! I've been looking forward to this all year!!! I didn't get to participate much last year because I was very busy irl (found out I was moving), so I'm excited to make my comeback >:3 My username on AF is boblitt, and I'll be on team Bloom! I try to attack as many different people as possible, so I don't do revenge chains, but otherwise anything is game, including friendly fire! I don't try to match quality, and I don't care about if I get attacked back - I just really like to draw, and I really, really like to flex on others. Oh yeah, and if you follow me, but I didn't follow you back, it's probably because my notifications look like this (and the game hasn't started yet):  If you want me to check you out, or if we know each other and you think I might've just missed you somewhere in there, just drop a comment on my profile, I'm more likely to see that. I use my following notifications as a reference list of usernames to check out and potentially attack, and only click them away if I either decide not to attack them, or have finished an attack on them. |

WOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING
i've been a participant all the way since 2017 and it's been an absolute blast every single time!! last year was especially active it felt like, which i guess is thanks in part to the new character tagging system - useful and fun! super stoked to join in this year as well >:3
my username's Suolainensilakka, as usual! i'll be on Team Bloom because i'm always a sucker for plant/botany themes LMAO

[x] draw an icon for han

[x] rewrite design a character page
[x] check if current character pages need rewriting
-> [x] fix tags/links on hotboy & smiley's pages
-> [x] clarify small things on dude & todd, & wolf's pages
maybe:
[ ] redraw wolf's human ref (or take it off)
[x] draw a ref & icon for alice
[x] draw a ref & icon for rayy (maybe combine their pages?)
