hiiiiiiiii i procrastinated on starting a gallery thread bc i wanted to make it look pretty and didnt know how but whatever i want to poast my drawings so im making the thread now and formatting it later LOL

Starting off with old art from 2020! You can tell bc the signature on the corner is still the shorthand for my old art handle, memoirlee LOL. It's a screencap redraw of One from Drakengard 3. I actually had a collection of different drakenier screencaps that I wanted to redraw bc i loved the visuals, but this was the only one I actually got around to doing. I would like to draw the rest of them at some point though, this was really fun to do :) This was my reference (not exactly i lost the exact screencap I used as a reference but I just went back and screencapped the same scene again so it's not exact) {Screencap}  And I also made a process gif of this which you can see here :) |

 This ones from January of 2021! And, to be honest, this is probably one of my favourite things I've ever drawn like ever. I was randomly struck with the idea to make this while writing notes in the notes app of my ipad during a class, and i was absentmindedly doodling and found i could make perfect rectangles in the notes app so i began to doodle a bunch of them on top of each other to make different objects out of squares and rectangles, then found myself making a flower. That's when this image came to mind and so I opened a new note on my ipad notes app and began making more flowers in the same way, then exported those rectangle flowers into a png, then put that into procreate where i made the image transparent then began filling in each rectangle with a shade of grey and making it so that they would get darker wherever a rectangle overlapped with another. After which i copy/pasted them and darkened them/made them smaller to have them fade in the bg, then added glitch effects and then finally drew the foreground in a crude pastel brush. it took FOREVER to do those fucken flowers but i really really love how it came out. It looks pretty much almost exactly how i envisioned it in my head which doesn't happen super often for me.

Another favourite of mine. I was cleaning out my desk one day and found a suuuper old and tiny sketchbook (there's a date at the start of the sketchbook which said I was in 6th grade while i was drawing in it???? so 12 ish years ago) and while flipping through it i found two pages with some simple crayon doodles. I kind of liked them, then I had an idea to mix the two together, so I took pics of them with my phone and used a photo editing app to mess around and make different versions of the pics, then I put all of them in procreate and messed around with filters and effects and cutting and pasting until I was satisfied  I'm really fond of this one and I'd like to try and make some other drawings with the same process sometime. (Also, my brother constantly annoys me whenever I draw to slip in a secret drawing of his teddy bear somewhere which i ignore often but this time i decided to throw him a bone. do you see it?) Here's the original drawings + the phone edits on their own |

This was drawn for Artfight 2021! Here's the page for the character. I think this one kind of makes my weak points glaringly obvious (clothing folds.... ORZ) but at the same time I think i nailed it with the expression LOL |

{WARNING: Blood + Gore}  This was for a Drakengard Weapon Story zine I participated in last year! It was the first time I got accepted into a paid zine so I was really excited when I found out i got in LOL. For those unaware the Drakengard + Nier games have a special feature in which you can collect weapons and each one comes with its own short story. You can upgrade your weapons and for each upgrade, a bit more of the story is unlocked, and when you max out the upgrades on that weapon you have the whole story. It's a really cool way of expanding the in-game world! This zine focused on those weapon stories and the one I picked was called Mermaid's Feast. Here's the full story for the context of the pic: {CW: violence, death, gore text}This monk's spade belonged to an ugly mermaid who lived on a solitary island in the south ocean. With her fearsome songs, she would lure the islanders out to sea and feast upon their raw livers.
One day, a young man came to the island, seeking revenge on the mermaid for the slaying of his family. The man sliced off the mermaid's tail, leaving her on the brink of death.
Unable to swim, the mermaid despaired. Seeking forgiveness, she gave to the youth her beloved weapon and begged for the return of her tail in exchange.
But the youth knew that she would return to her wicked ways of terrorizing the islanders for the livers that gave her sustenance. With one thrust of her own spear, the pitiful creature was slain. The producers of this zine are actually in the middle of producing another weapon story zine, this time focused on the ones in Nier! (both nier replicant/gestalt as well as automata.) I'm going to be in that one too! I actually just finished drawing my piece for that one like, literally today. Unlike the drakengard zine which was digital only, the nier one is going to also have a physical bundle! So this would mark the first time something ive drawn will make it into a physical zine release!!  I'm very excited. The official account is currently posting contributor spotlights daily and preorders are going to open sometime in July, so mayhaps keep an eye out  |

Drawing of the Subway Masters from pokemon, in the twewy artstyle! (or my best attempt at it, anyways.) I tried to make it look like how the character introduction screens look like in neo twewy, so i went out of my way to download the assets from the game to try to emulate it. The background is an image of a subway train interior that i found on a stock photo site then posterized to also try to get that neo twewy effect. I Love these funky dudes so much

While playing legends arceus, I liked to wear the Hisuian Zoroark mask accessory but it kept reminding me of progfox neku from twewy so i Had to draw it. For those who don't know, progfox is an optional boss in twewy. its a fox that can shapeshift and takes the form of different types of enemies through its battle, and at one point in the battle it can shapeshift into neku (the protag) except wearing a fox mask. Here's a pic for comparison of my drawing:
{progfox neku}  ...Actually now that I'm writing this out this drawing is actually way more fitting than I realized, because Zoroark in pokemon can also shapeshift (or more accurately, project illusions of different forms) and tend to do so often to decieve their enemies. I definitely wasn't thinking that far ahead while drawing that though my thought process just started and ended with "hee hoo same fox mask :)" |

I think that's what his ace would be if he were in the pokemon universe, because he's themed after both fire and butterflies (volcarona is TECHNICALLY a moth and not a butterfly but i still think its fits well.) |
