i've admired lots of different webcomics and the process of making them for years now, and i've wanted to make one myself since i was very young - i just never really got around to it, for various reasons including but not limited to lack of time, lack of motivation, too many ideas, not enough ideas, being intimidated by the prospect of having to keep up a consistent posting schedule, and not really knowing where to even start. the thing is, though, that i WANT to! i love telling stories, and i love drawing, and there's just so many positives to creating webcomics that it'd feel almost silly not to indulge in it even once. so, i've poked around in one site or another, looking for advice and miscellaneous tips for making comics online, but i thought to ask here as well - what's the general process like for you, if you're someone who has made and posted comics before (or just know things about making comics)? how do you manage writing and structuring the story? where do you publish the comic(s)? (additionally, what are some of your own favorite webcomics that you've read and could recommend? i've been meaning to read more of those myself, as a big part of my creative process is seeking inspiration from all sorts of sources - plus, reading webcomics is just plain fun!) i'm not too frazzled with generating an audience or making a "compelling" story, personally, i simply want to finally start and to just have fun with what i'm creating! still, if there's anything you guys can tell me about the general process, i'd love to hear your thoughts on it. have a good day!

I don't have advice to give on my own since I've never made a comic before (I want to try though, not particularly a Web Comic but just dipping my toes into drawing things in a comic format in general) but I have followed a lot of webcomics and I've seen a lot of artists give advice based on their experiences! I tried to hunt down some of their tips that they've said online in the past but I just found this one guide written by Velinxi, who made one of the only webcomics i keep up with at the moment, Countdown to Countdown. Thankfully its a pretty substantial guide! I hope you find at least some of it useful :)
