{Spoiler}so the whole thing is based on a ttrpg that got out of hand, it was just supposed to be a oneshot but now there's like 3 of us who've been hyperfixating on it for the last 4 months, like, we made a short spinoff vn and the card borders are written in a con-script. idk if i ever rly talked about it in nightcorner before but the basic premise is that its like a post-apocalyptic desert planet with a mouth growing on it, and there's lots of fun body horror stuff that occurs. only like 3 of these characters r actually Mine akjhdkjs

the fool - wybie! he's a flesh monster and like the equivalent of a child! he was raised by a group of humans so now he's traveling to learn about the world and writing everything down in a little journal while pretending he's human. he signed up to work on archaeology expedition where he accidentally helped find a house belonging to a cult from closer to when the mouth had first appeared buried underground, surrounded by a petrified forest.

the magician - marvin, a scientist who lives in a bunker cave and is trying to build a rocket. he also studies rocks n stuff

the high priestess - shiloh can hear the mouth whisper to her, which basically just makes her psychic but the knowledge she gets is kinda vague. she works as an oracle in the town of fallen canine, where she'll tell ur fortune by burning teeth u bring her and reading the cracks.

the empress - col's a doctor! there's not that many so she just travels around being benevolent

the emperor - ozer used to work with marvin (and also maybe they were gay together? i'm not sure if i understood their relationship correctly) until they were attacked by a flesh monster and parted ways. ozer went on to found a very successful meat tech company that made these like hot air balloon things.

the hierophant - tarro was part of the mouth cult whose house wybie helped find. he kinda came up with a whole school of philosophy and wouldn't shut up about it despite not having a mouth. he also sewed all the clothes for the cultists so thats what the needle is.

the lovers - aio (red) and mikal (blue) were more cultists. aio was like the group therapist and also rly into plants, and mikal was also there, and they were dating.

the chariot - virgil <3 he also used to be on team marvin, but after the monster attack went the opposite way of ozer and became extremely machinist, joining and eventually leading an anti-flesh pro-machine terror gang called the boys <3 his main thing was a motorbike that u plug urself into and it runs on ur blood <3 so he'd go around on that spearing and killing flesh tech creatures and also like, jousting with some of the other boys for fun <3

strength - snicker also worked with marvin!!! they were the muscle of the group and like? kismeses?? sorta? with virgil back in the day but then they got killed by the monster :(

the hermit - razia was another cultist who secretly had a huge crush on aio. so ok. the deal with the cult is that they believed u could be contacted after death if u ate meat from the mouth and got a cool body horror power (called a boon) from doing that (why mikal has horns and tarro has no mouth), using water and an item that meant a lot to u in life (tarro's was a sewing needle). razia was the one chosen to stay behind and try to make contact with the rest after they died, but it didn't work because ur actually supposed to use blood from the mouth instead of water because everyone who eats the meat gets their consciousness stored in like. a blood network. so she just died alone thinking the cult's whole thing was a failure

the wheel of fortune - i haven't named them yet! so ok so. there's also an eye on the planet and sometimes it just blasts ppl with random knowledge. it got em when they were a kid, and they figured out how to set up like telegraph lines, so with their friends they tried making a person out of telegraph lines (like in the schoolhouse rock video). eventually they all grew up and kinda left it behind except this guy, who got hit with more knowledge about why it wasn't working, and figured out that to make a real consciousness they needed to use the mouth blood as a conductor because of the whole blood network thing. the consciousness got more and more advanced as more booned people died, so now they think the next step for humanity is for Everyone left to get booned and die so they can all get reborn into the ultimate consciousness.

justice - prey's a hitman with fucked up meat arms :^)

the hanged man - sidney! my boy! his boon is that he grows extra organs sometimes. he left home as a kid to train to be a doctor, and he uses his spare organs as transplant organs for ppl who need em. he's got a disease that's gonna kill him so his whole goal is to make sure his organs are still gonna be able to be used after he dies.

death - aalis hehe <3 he's sidney's mentor and col's son. his boon is that loses random organs sometimes. so sometimes when he's operating on ppl for other reasons he'll just take their shit which kills them sometimes. he's on his third heart

temperance - dima, the last of the cultists, fillin up the pool with water.

the devil - pero... he has a boon that makes him grow so many teeth all the time. he's sidney's dad, shiloh's best customer, as well as aalis' when he was staying in fallen canine. he uh. likes. getting his teeth pulled. and his teeth are sort of a local currency in fallen canine.

the tower - cosand :^) love this dude. he killed virgil to become the new leader of the boys. he forced aalis to join as the group's doctor, but after he betrayed them cosand left him for dead (which is when he ate the meat and got booned). then one day aalis showed up again, shattering cosand's whole worldview, and killed him.

the star - tahn is the new new leader of the boys. she got the power after aalis killed cosand and it's still a violent group but she's a much more competent leader.

the moon - sabry!! they're shiloh's twin, and her psychic shit made them rly paranoid and they sorta blew it out of proportion and now are scared of her for completely imagined reasons.

the sun - reuben ate the mouth meat on a dare and now if he has excess energy at night he glows!

judgement - the tour guide! uh! so marvin, sabry, and aalis were the pcs from the initial game, and it was spread out across time but kinda centered on fallen canine (which is a settlement founded around a fallen tooth from the monster marvin fought). we, the players, decided to make this into a comic, narrated in the future by the tour guide, who got knowledge blasted with the events of the game, and whose day job is manning a siren to sound when the planet is about to get destroyed for real by the mouth.
